Name: Daisy Rivera Algarin
Board Position: President

Daisy Rivera Algarin is an Economic Development Marketing Specialist-Bilingual Spanish for the City of Rochester. In her role, Daisy provides outreach, technical, and zoning support to small businesses. In addition, she is part of the planning team for the North Clinton Avenue revitalization project. She has serve in her current role since June 2000.
Economic Development makes available, technical assistance to city business seeking loans, grants and demographic and pre-development information.
Daisy has also served in different capacities with Latinas Unidas. She was part of the founding team and has been the Chair and now serves as President of Latinas Unidas.
She is married to Albert Algarin and has 3 chidren.

Elisa DeJesus is the Vice President of Family Services at Ibero-American Action League, Inc.
Elisa has served in different capacities with Latinas Unidas, and is the current Vice Chair on the Board of Directors.

Iveth Reynolds is the CEO of Tri-Mar Consulting Inc., a national staffing company that recruits talent for technlogy and business development.
An entrepreneur and leader with 20 years experience in Staffing and Technical Project Leadership, Iveth's industry experience includes Telecom and Financial Services.
Iveth is President of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) NY Chapter and Board Member of the Learning Disabilities Association.
Iveth currently serves on the Board of Directors of Latinas Unidas as Secretary.

Ruth Colon is the Chief Operations Officer of Ibero American Action League, where she supervises and manages the programmatic functions of the League. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has over 20 years of supervisory experience and an extensive experience in all aspects of Fiscal Management.
Ruth completed Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training and is a 1992 graduate of the United Way Latino Leadership Development Program.
Ruth has served on the Latino Advisory Board of Home Care of Rochesteras Treasurer, and on the Board of Directors of the Puerto Rican Youth Development (PRYD). Presently serves on the Finance Committee of Rochester Primary Care, and is an EOC, SUNY Brockport Board member.
Ruth is married, lives in Rochester since 1973, and has a son and a daughter.

Karina P. Flaherty is the President & CEO of ALC Technologies, Inc., a rapidly growing language localization firm headquartered in Rochester, NY. Karina is an experienced business professional with many years of managerial and leadership experience in her industry. She holds a Bachelor's of Science in Molecular Genetics and managed the day to day operations of several small businesses prior to founding Advanced Language and Communication Technologies in 2001.
In her spare time, Karina is a very active member of her community, serving on many committees and currently acts as the translation resource for Latinas Unidas. She also volunteers in her children's schools. For fun, she enjoys SCUBA diving, skiing, hiking and anything outdoors.
Name: Peggy Martinez

Peggy Martinez, born in Rochester, raised in Rochester and Puerto Rico. A professional with 27 years of experience in the banking industry. Peggy is an accomplished artist. Mostly self-taught, she attended many workshops with varios great nationally known artists. She has been painting in watercolors for 10 years. Peggy has had an exhibition of her paintings at the Rochester City Hall during the celebration of the Hispanic Heritage Month. Peggy is Branch Manager at Advantage Federal Credit Union.
Peggy was the Chair of the Organizing Committe for the Reconocimiento Awards 2008. She lives in Rochester with her husband and two daughters.
Name: Kelly Tovar Mullaney

Kelly Tovar Mullaney is the President and founder of Working Art Media, a company specialized in multimedia, Web site design and internet marketing serving from start-ups to small businesses and non-profit organizations. Kelly holds an MS in Software Development and Management and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Interactive Multimedia Development from RIT. Kelly is a 2007 graduate of the Latino Leadership Development Program (LLDP) from United Way. Through her company she designed the Latinas Unidas website and maintains the day to day changes. She is the "official" photographer of the Latinas Unidas events.
An active member of the local business community, Kelly currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Latinas Unidas and the Rochester Hispanic Business Association, as well as on the Governing Board of the Finger Lakes WIRED Initiative.
Kelly Tovar Mullaney is married and lives in Brighton.
Name: Jackie Ruffolo

Jackie Ruffolo is the President of JR Language Translation Services Inc., a translation agency providing services to customers around the globe. She manages the overall business, from planning and marketing to customer satisfaction and quality.
Jackie holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Simon Bolivar University, Venezuela.
Jackie has served in several community organizations, including a welcoming committe for new comers to the Rochester area. She is very active and supporting in her children's school and college sports activities. Jackie is member of the Organizing Committe for the 2008 Reconocimiento Awards.
