9/04	"Airam Da Silva from the Icla Da Silva Foundation to talk about volunteer bone marrow donations for Latinos and other minorities" The focus of the Icla Da Silva Foundation is the education and recruitment of volunteer minority donors and has become the largest Latino recruitment group for the National Marrow Donor Program. Although it's possible for a Latino patient to match a donor from any racial or ethnic group, the "most likely" match for a Latino is another Latino. This event is organized by the Hispanic Nurse's Association.
