Cafe Con Leche Plus... Wegmans
We take care of everyone else ALL THE TIME - this is an evening to relax and remember to care for ourselves too. Come and enjoy an evening of networking and healthy tips on taking care of YOU! Light hor d'oeuvres and wine will be served compliments of Wegmans. Directions: From Points East: Take the NYS Thruway (US90) West to Rochester Exit 46 to 390 North. Take 390 North to Exit 18B West, go past Rochester International Airport. Continue past 1500 Brooks Avenue Corporate Office to the end of Brooks Avenue. Turn left on Chili Avenue. Make left at 5th light (about 1½ miles, intersection of Chili Avenue and Wegmans Market Street). Follow signs to 200 Market Street. From Points South: Take 390 North to Exit 18B West, go past Rochester International Airport. Continue past 1500 Brooks Avenue Corporate Office to the end of Brooks Avenue. Turn left on Chili Avenue. Make left at 5th light (about 1½ miles, intersection of Chili Avenue and Wegmans Market Street). Follow signs to 200 Market Street. From Points West: Take the NYS Thruway (US90) East to LeRoy exit 47. Take 490 East to 204 East (Exit 6, County Airport.) Straight thru the light, you will be on Wegmans Market Street. Follow signs to 200 Market Street. |

Lori Nolasco will introduce and close the reading (in English and Spanish) with songs from Spain (Mocedades) and Mexico (Alejandro Fernández). School Experiences of Latina/o Students: A Community-Based Study of Resources, Challenges and Successes
In 2008, the IBERO American Action League initiated “A Call to Action" to mobilize community members in an effort to address the persistent education underachievement among Latino/a students in Rochester, NY. A task force aimed at learning about the reasons for persistence or drop-out was formed. Under the leadership of Drs. Judy Marquez Kiyama and Donna Marie Harris, a study was conducted and the findings will be shared at this tertulia.
