9/19 - 10/24	The Eduardo Navarro Empresario Latino Business Development Training Seminars This is a program from the City of Rochester to develop management skills of individuals interested in starting their own business, especially those using Spanish as their primary language. The program consists on 4 sessions covering different aspects of starting a business. 9/30 10/7	School Experiences of Latina/o Students: A Community-Based Study of Resources, Challenges and Successes In 2008, the IBERO American Action League initiated “A Call to Action" to mobilize community members in an effort to address the persistent education underachievement among Latino/a students in Rochester, NY. A task force aimed at learning about the reasons for persistence or drop-out was formed. Under the leadership of Drs. Judy Marquez Kiyama and Donna Marie Harris, a study was conducted and the findings will be shared at this tertulia.
