Rally 2011

On March 19 the annual Soy Unica Soy Latina Rally for girls will take place at the University of Rochester. An event that empowers Latinas ages from 7 to 18, encouraging them to feel good about themselves and be proud to be Latinas.

Madrinas

The Madrinas for this year's rally are Norma Holland and Marisol Ramos-Lopez.

Norma Holland is the Morning Anchor and Reporter on 13 WHAM This Morning and Rochester's CW, will be the Madrina of the Rally. Norma is the recipient of the Reconocimiento Award for Inspirational Leadership on 2009.

Marisol Lopez is Administrator for the Northeast Neighborhood Service Center of the City of Rochester. Marisol is the recipient of the Reconocimiento Award for Leadership Achievement on 2010.

Marisol and Norma were the madrinas for the 2006 rally.

This year's theme "Living Healthy and Healthy Choices".

For Parents

There will be a mini expo with the participation of local agencies and organizations with information about available resources and programs resources for parents. We will be presenting a workshop on Cyberbullying, a very important and relevant subject.

We need your help to reach as many young Latinas as possible*.

If you know of any young Latinas between 7 and 18 years old, share this information with their parents or guardian and invite them to register them for the next rally.

But hurry! The day is approaching quickly...
