We want to thank all of you who attended our 2010 Reconocimiento Awards Luncheon last week. We appreciate the support you gave our organization with your presence, especially since many of you were off from work for the holiday. We loved having you there and we hope you enjoyed the event.

Congratulations again to our award recipients Diana M. Irizarry, Nicolette Kane, Sara Pabon Jordan and Marisol Ramos-Lopez. You are an inspiration for all of us.

We want to thank the Organizing Committee for their hard work during the last few months planning and finding prizes for the silent auction. You ladies did an outstanding job. The room was beautiful decorated. The entertainment by Essence of Rhythm was and we are very proud to say that we ended up on time!. Everything ran smoothly and with great timing.

Thanks to our Table Sponsors Frontier, Kodak, Sam's Club, Wegmans for your support.

Kodak did a wonderful job again with the professional photos and make up for our Reconocimiento Award recipients.

Wegmans added a very nice touch to the event with baskets of the tropical products that adorned some of the tables.

Thanks to our M.C. Norma Holland, with her wit and sense of humor.

Thanks to Doña Lucy for the beautiful dolls she created for the center tables. Most of them were sold during the event, but the ones that remained will be available for purchase here on our website.

We rushed, we laughed, we cried. It is so much fun to make the announcements as we surprise our winners with the good news. It is worth the effort when you see their faces of happiness. They deserve it.

The word is out!

Congratulations to the recipients of the 2010 Reconocimiento Awards: Diana M. Irizarry, Nicolette Kane, Sara Pabon Jordan and Marisol Ramos-Lopez.

Invitations have been mailed out. Our thanks to our graphic designer Dawn Freeman, who beautifully designed the invitations from the concept received from Rosemarie Gutierrez, Chair of the event.

If you didn't receive yours on the mail you can download and print the invitation and RSVP card from the link included to the right, but please send us your mailing address to to include you in our mailing the next time!

October 8th

The judges did a fabulous job selecting among all the worthy candidates for this award. Now comes the announcement for the winners... Surprise!

That is always a fun task for those of us who "sneak" into their offices or school, and with the complicity of their co-workers we manage to catch them when they least expect us. There are always lots of laughs, tears, hugs, and a lot of love as we all enjoy giving the great news to our winners.

We are now in the process to making these announcements so stay tuned as we get some pics so you can share these moments with us!

The Reconocimiento Awards Organizing Committee has been working diligently to make of this year's Luncheon another successful event.

You are going to love the theme they chose for this year: Nuestras Patrias. A happy and colorful mix of flags and dolls that everyone will enjoy.
