The Latina Women Scholarship Fund

The Latina Women Scholarship Fund is a donor advised fund created from the partnership of the Latinas Unidas Network of Rochester and the Women’s Foundation of Genesee Valley.

On 2007, we are celebrating our 5th year of awarding scholarships.  The recipients are adult Latinas who desire to pursue educational initiatives that do not receive funding from traditional sources.  We support women age twenty-five or older who have entry level work experience and who are seeking additional training to develop skills required for job advancement and financial independence.
                           
The Latina Women Scholarship Fund will ensure that the lives of Latinas in our community will be touched and changed.  We will create an environment in which Latinas have the tools to overcome social and economic barriers while realizing their full potential.

Scholarships are available in the seven-county area of Genesee Valley:  Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Yates, Orleans, and Wayne.

This year the application deadline is September 21, 2007.
