Latinas Unidas Scholarship Eligibility 

Eligibility, Application Packet & Documentation

ELIGIBILITY

• Be a resident of one of the seven-counties of Genesee Valley:  Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Yates, Orleans, and Wayne.  
• Be a Latina and at least 25 years old.
• Be enrolled in training that leads to job and financial advancement or matriculated and enrolled in a higher education program.
• Be a high school graduate or hold a G.E.D.

APPLICATION PACKET CHECKLIST

-> Complete the Latinas Unidas Scholarship Application form. 

-> Copy of High School Diploma/G.E.D, if in a training program (not needed if enrolled in College).

-> Personal Essay.

Note: All of the above are required. The application will not be reviewed if any document is missing.

IF ATTENDING A HIGHER EDUCATION PROGRAM

Please provide:

• Copy of the Student Identification Card from the respective institution.
• Proof of acceptance (letter) to the program for which the scholarship funds will be used, if selected.
• Proof of enrollment/attendance (schedule) for the term the scholarship will be applied to.

      ** Amount requested and purpose. 

IF SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ARE FOR A PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Please provide:

• Documentation from the organization providing the training that includes description and cost of the program.  

IF SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ARE FOR A PROFESSIONAL LICENSE

Please provide:

• Documentation from the agency issuing the license that includes description and cost of the license.
• Educational budget if training is needed. 

IF SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ARE FOR EDUCATIONAL SUPPLIES

Please provide:

• Supplies list with costs, and how do they relate to your training/professional advancement.

AFTER THE SELECTION PROCESS

If selected for the scholarship, you will have ten (10) days from the day you are notified to provide electronically other documentation not listed in this application, if needed. 

You still have to provide the documentation required in this application by the deadline.
