Reconocimiento & Scholarships Awards 2022

Latinas Unidas publicly recognizes Latinas for their achievements. It is our way of bringing to the forefront the positive impact Latinas bring to our community.

This award took place on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at The Harro East Ballroom on 155 N. Chestnut St. Rochester, NY 14604.

The 2022 Reconocimiento Award Winners are:

  • Professional Achievement: Dr. Miriam Vazquez - Board of Trustee and School Founder at Eugenio María de Hostos Charter School
  • Inspirational Leadership: Mai Ho - Manager of Administrative Support/ Bilingual at the City of Rochester
  • Volunteer Service: Gildred Milagros Aponte - Youth Engagement Specialist at Ibero-American Action League
  • Youth Latina Leadership: Ana Fontan - Student at East High School
